5 Fourchettes
5 Fourchettes is a small eatery in Bangui that serves surprisingly decent Indian food. Because the owner and chef are both from India, the Indian delicacies stand out on the broad menu. Although the restaurant attracts a large number of international customers, it is never overcrowded. This ensures a relaxing eating experience. The servers are among Bangui's most efficient, and Pavan, a pleasant young Indian man, ensures that visitors are properly taken care of.
In 5 Fourchettes, hamburgers, teppanyaki, and sweet and sour chicken are among the foreign delicacies on the menu. Chicken korma (a little hotter than in some European or American Indian restaurants), chicken butter masala and chicken tikka masala, chana masala, Goan fish curry, and certain mutton dishes are among the Indian foods. The pizzas are edible, which is about as good as it goes when it comes to pizza in Bangui. Fresh orange juice and handmade lemonade are available at the restaurant. They also offer great, sweet fresh pineapple juice on occasion.
