A place with stunningly attractive

Timor-Leste has been blessed with stunning natural surroundings, including lush mountains, a sparkling sea, and nearby islands covered in clouds. That is one of the many reasons to visit East Timor. Timor-Leste only gained its independence as a country in 2002, thus, it is only now beginning to carve out a place for itself on the world tourist map. So far, it is devoid of the glitzy resorts and constant hustle and bustle found in other, more established destinations. Although the roads are a little rocky and rugged, they will lead you far from the typical tourist trail.

A large portion of the nation is mountainous, providing stunning scenery but necessitating cautious driving on narrow roads. With a height of 2,963 meters, Mount Ramelau is the highest peak in East Timor. From Dili, it takes about the same amount of time to drive to the top as it does to trek. However, take your time and unwind in the pousada in Maubisse. For the sight alone, the drive along the coast from Dili to the second-largest city, Baucau, is well worth the trip. After doing that, travel east to Como and Jaco Island after spending the night in Baucau, which is near other wonderful beaches. With crater-like potholes and collapsed bridges, the roads can be hazardous, and many become inaccessible during the rainy season, which lasts from November to May.
