Academic Information Seeking offered by University of Copenhagen will expose you to the fundamentals of academic information seeking, covering everything from developing a plan to evaluating and recording your findings.
You will become an expert information seeker after taking the course. Based on your own research project, you will learn how to conduct comprehensive literature searches. From selecting relevant search tactics and techniques to analyzing your search results, documenting your search process, and attributing your sources, you will be guided through the many information searching procedures. The series is made up of 21 lectures divided into three sections. Small homework and quizzes are included in the lectures (to check comprehension).
Each lecture will focus on a different aspect of the information-gathering process. they recommend that you listen to the lectures while working on an academic paper to get the most out of the series. they also suggest that you watch the lectures in the order in which they were created.
While attending the lectures, they urge that you construct and fill out a log book. We've made a log book template for you to use throughout the course. The lecture series was created in partnership with University of Copenhagen information specialists and Technical University of Denmark.
