AI Reem Island
Al Reem Island, 'The Pearl' and 'Emirates Pearl Island', is a residential, commercial and business development built on a natural island 600 meters off the northeast coast of Abu Dhabi Island. Reem Island is connected to Abu Dhabi City Island by 2 or 3 bridges and is 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport.
The Island is being developed by three main developers Sorouh Real Estate (Shams Abu Dhabi Sorouh owns 20%), Reem Investments owns 20% and Tamouh Investments owns 60%. One of the first free zones in Abu Dhabi where foreign nationals can buy properties as rentals. The development is overseen by an independent third-party management company called Bunya.
Bunya is responsible for planning, implementing and managing the infrastructure and operations on Reem Island and Bunya will ensure all three Reem Island developers meet high construction standards. The island is estimated to have a capacity of 280,000 residents and will include important amenities such as schools, medical clinics, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, resorts, spas, gardens and beaches. This is an artificial island that deserves to be in the top of the most beautiful islands in the United Arab Emirates.
