The historic Dr. Morgan Smith Estate is set on 31 acres of secluded countryside, with a private three-acre lake, rolling lawns, century-old oak trees, magnolia trees, fountains, ducks, geese, and all modern conveniences. The Dr. Morgan Smith estate, which was built in 1918, is a National Historic Landmark. Dr. Smith planted two old Magnolia trees on top of the hill. Magnolia Hill is the name given to the estate. It took a day's buggy ride to get to downtown Little Rock at the turn of the century.
