Chris McMullen received his Ph.D. in physics from Oklahoma State University and is currently a physics instructor at Northwestern State University of Louisiana. He created the Improve Your Math Fluency workbook series to help pupils improve their basic math skills.
This Algebra Essentials Practice Workbook with Answers provides plenty of practice for gaining fluency in very basic algebra skills, namely how to solve standard equations with one or more unknowns. These algebra 1 practice tasks are appropriate for students of all levels, from seventh grade to college algebra. This workbook is conveniently organized into seven chapters, allowing students to concentrate on a single algebraic procedure at a time. Solving linear equations with a single unknown (with a distinct chapter devoted to fractional coefficients), factoring quadratic equations, utilizing the quadratic formula, cross multiplying, and solving systems of linear equations are among the skills covered.
This workbook is not designed to be a full refresher of algebra; rather, it focuses on the most important algebra abilities. An introduction explains how parents and teachers may assist children in getting the most out of this workbook. Each page is timed and scored by the students. They can strive to have fun improving their records in this way, which can help kids gain confidence in their arithmetic skills.
PRACTICE: Because there are no visuals in this workbook, it focuses solely on learning the subject and improving fluency via practice.

NOTE: The solution key is written in regular English. Reduced fractions are expressed, denominators are rationalized, and perfect squares are factored out of square roots. For example, if you get a 1 over root 8 answer, the answer key will display root 2 over 4; both solutions are the same, but the answer key utilizes standard form.
