All-Clad
Founded in 1971 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, a town just outside of Pittsburgh, All-Clad is one of the top-notch stainless steel cookware brands worldwide. The founder John Ulam was a metallurgist and an expert in the bonding or cladding process, which is when layering two metals under intense pressure and heat until they bond into a single sheet. This process was used in many other industries, but Ulam was the first to make cookware claded throughout the pan, hence the name All-Clad.
Since launching, All-Clad has established a reputation for superior performance, elegant design, and unmatched durability. To elaborate, All-Clad cookware boasts five-ply construction. Three-ply construction is standard with stainless steel kitchenware. However, these two additional layers enhance both its durability and uniform heat distribution.
Copper Core is the most premium and extravagant collection of All-Clad. Likewise, other collections with the five-ply construction features, but instead of steel, Copper Core utilizes the core layer as copper. Since copper has high thermal conductivity, this type of cookware heats up fast and reacts to sudden temperature changes more quickly.
Overall, All-Clad is a high-performance cookware handcrafted by experienced artisans to make the culinary experience a breeze.
