Amy Lee

Amy Lynn Hartzler (born December 13, 1981) is a singer, songwriter, harpist, and pianist from the United States. Evanescence's co-founder, principal vocalist, and lone continuous member are her. Lee has also contributed to other musical projects, including Nightmare Revisited and Muppets: The Green Album from Walt Disney Records, in addition to her work with the band. She has worked with musicians such as Korn, Seether, and David Hodges.

Lee earned the National Music Publishers Association's Songwriter Icon Award in 2008. She was voted Rock Goddess of the Year at the Loudwire Music Awards in 2012, as well as Best Vocalist at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. In 2015, she received the Moondance International Film Festival's Best Film Score award for Indigo Grey: The Passage. Lee is also the American representative for the international epilepsy awareness organization Out of the Shadows.
