Angela Baby

Angela Baby grew up in China, Shanghai, to a Hong Kong father (half Chinese and half German descent) and a Shanghainese mother. Her real name is Yang Ying (or Yeung Wing in Cantonese).

As her dad ran a famous Shanghai fashion business, the actress had a keen interest in the fashion world from a very early age due to her dad's influence. In an interview, the actress expressed: "Though my father sold mature clothes, I still liked visiting his store and wearing those outfits as a child. I also tried matching and mixing them, too. It was so enjoyable. I believe that is where I started developing my burning passion for the fashion world.

When she hit thirteen, Yang decided to move to Hong Kong and penned a modeling contract with Style Global Management one year later. Though her English stage name is "Angela", people also called her "Baby" in her secondary years at school. As a result, she eventually combined both to form "Angela Baby." Ever since then, the actress has strived to be fluent in many languages, including Japanese, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Mandarin, and English.

Though Angela Baby eventually became an actress (which is her main job), she is still more remembered as a model and a fashion ambassador for Dior rather than as an actress.
