Aoba-Japan International School
Aoba-Japan International School (Aoba) is a religious, private international school located in Tokyo, Japan, serving a diverse student body of over 700 students from 30 different countries. Aoba, an IB Continuum and IB World School is authorized to offer the IB Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP) across three sites in Tokyo.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is now offered online at Aoba, allowing students in remote places to earn a two-year full-time high school diploma. Aoba is the only institution in Asia allowed to offer the Online IBDP.
Aoba's primary idea is that students should realize their full potential as global citizens committed to learning and motivated to thrive in an ever-changing environment. The Aoba Online DP pilot program will be delivered by qualified IB teachers who will use inquiry-based learning frameworks to challenge, engage, and connect students to one another and to the world.
The Aoba-Japan International School Online DP uses cutting-edge learning technology and current education practices to provide an experience that is tailored to how today's high school students interact, cooperate, and learn in a hyperconnected environment.
