Dwight Global Online School, considered one of the two finest online high schools in the United States by Newsweek, has been chosen by the International Baccalaureate (IB) as a partner to trial the delivery of the two-year Diploma Programme (DP) in an online school setting.

The pilot is intended to obtain insight into the benefits of this pedagogical paradigm while also making the DP more accessible to a broader range of kids who are unable to attend a traditional school. Dwight Global Online School, a leader in online education since 2014, is pleased to chronicle the advantages of delivering the DP through a collaborative online learning community.

During the two-year course of study from grades 11 to 12, students pursue six classes concurrently while also taking core curriculum courses. The core is the program's foundation; all classes promote critical thinking, community engagement, and research. These abilities enable students to prosper in the DP and their personal lives, where they are encouraged to explore their interests.

The DP is unique because it is created as a program, which means that common curricular and evaluation threads run through all courses, allowing students to approach their learning in similar ways independent of their specific class selections.
