ASM Pacific Technology
ASM (officially known as ASM International N.V., originally standing for Advanced Semiconductor Materials) is a multinational corporation based in the Netherlands that focuses on the development, production, sale, and maintenance of equipment used in the semiconductor wafer processing stage of device fabrication. The front-end wafer processing operations in semiconductor production operations use ASM's products. Atomic layer deposition, epitaxy, chemical vapor deposition, and diffusion are among the methods used by ASM.
Advanced Semiconductor Materials was formed in 1964 by the late Arthur del Prado (1931-2016). Chuck del Prado, Arthur's son, served as CEO of the company from 2008 until 2020. When it comes to wafer processing, ASM was an early pioneer in a number of key areas, such as lithography, deposition, ion implantation, single-wafer epitaxy, and, more recently, atomic layer deposition. Former ASM divisions include semiconductor equipment manufacturers ASML, ASM Pacific Technology (ASMPT), and Besi.
In April 2023, the market value of ASM Pacific Technology was $3.82 billion. Market capitalization-wise, this places ASM Pacific Technology at #2,818 among all companies on the globe. The most recent financial filings reveal a TTM revenue of $2.93 billion for ASM Pacific Technology. In 2021, the firm's revenue was $2.82 billion.
