Balti
If you're seeking a destination with a lighter influence of Moldova's boozing nation—or simply a city swaggering with their wealth of wines—Balti is the spot to go on your Moldova vacation. Belts, also spelled Beltsy or Belcy, is a city in northern Moldova, on the River Raut (Reut). It dates back to the 15th century. Bălţi is a major railway junction and the center of the agriculturally rich Balti Steppe.
Despite the fact that tourist excursions are rare or non-existent in this city, it is still possible to get around if you know where to go and what to expect in Balti. Balti protects and has its own cultural hub, with a population of 150,000 people, making it the third-largest city in Moldova in terms of population. It features two one-of-a-kind museums, the Balti History and Ethnography Museum and the Pinacoteca "Antioh Cantemir."
