One of the interesting facts about Ban Ki-moon is that he founded the United Nations Women, a brand-new organization within the UN, which is one of his biggest accomplishments. He wanted to create a space where there would be a discussion on women's rights, gender equality, and women's comfort in coming up with more significant projects that might be used in other UN departments as well.
