Banteay Kdei
Banteay Kdei, an ancient temple hidden in Cambodia's Angkor Archaeological Park, has a fascinating history spanning centuries. It is among the top 10 best Buddhist temples in Cambodia.
The construction of Banteay Kdei is said to have begun in the late 12th century, during the reign of King Jayavarman VII, a period famous for being the pinnacle of Khmer architecture and culture. Its name, Banteay Kdei, translates as "Citadel of Rooms" in Khmer, reflecting its intricate design with interconnected galleries, courtyards, and towers.
