Barack Obama
Barack Obama is the United States' 44th President. Before becoming President, he was an Illinois senator and a member of the United States Congress. From 2005 to 2008, he was the first African-American president to serve as a United States Senator from Illinois. During his first two years in office, he signed a number of major measures, including the Affordable Care Act, the Reauthorization of Unemployment Insurance, Job Creation, and others.
While in office, US presidents must use the unique Twitter account @POTUS, which must thereafter be changed to the new president. Mr. Obama is currently using his personal Twitter account. His tweets are on politics, notably his involvement with the Obama Foundation. This account has much more Twitter followers than the second-placed account.
