Bávaro Beach, Punta Cana
Punta Cana is a vacation town in the Dominican Republic's easternmost district. It is located in the Higüey municipality of La Altagracia Province, and is part of the Veron–Punta Cana municipal region. Punta Cana is Latin America's second-most popular tourist destination, having more visitors than any other Caribbean city. White sand beaches, turquoise waters, and balnearios that front both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean characterize the area. The temperature is hot for the majority of the year, with the Northern Tropics receiving the greatest direct sunlight in late summer and autumn.
Bávaro Beach, just north of Punta Cana, is without a doubt the most stunning stretch of beach in the Punta Cana area. The calm Caribbean seas are ideal for swimming or wading, and the water is a classic Caribbean turquoise tone that extends far beyond the roped-off swimming area to the distant protected reef. A busy area of boats and parasailers lies beyond the swimming zone.
