Punta Cana is a vacation town in the Dominican Republic's easternmost district. It is located in the Higüey municipality of La Altagracia Province, and is part of the Veron–Punta Cana municipal region. Punta Cana is Latin America's second-most popular tourist destination, having more visitors than any other Caribbean city. White sand beaches, turquoise waters, and balnearios that front both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean characterize the area. The temperature is hot for the majority of the year, with the Northern Tropics receiving the greatest direct sunlight in late summer and autumn.

Bávaro Beach, just north of Punta Cana, is without a doubt the most stunning stretch of beach in the Punta Cana area. The calm Caribbean seas are ideal for swimming or wading, and the water is a classic Caribbean turquoise tone that extends far beyond the roped-off swimming area to the distant protected reef. A busy area of boats and parasailers lies beyond the swimming zone.

The beach spreads for miles along the shore, making it ideal for walking and people watching. The Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro, the adults-only Barcelo Bavaro Beach, and the Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites Resort & Spa are just a few of the big name luxury chain resorts on Bávaro.

Playa Rincón is the classic, postcard-perfect tropical white-sand beach, undeveloped and secluded. The shore is lapped by beautiful turquoise waves. Huge palm trees give shade and line the beach. A protected cove on one end provides a consistently tranquil bay for swimming, while beautiful green mountains rise up from the water's other shore. The only structures in the area are a tiny restaurant at one end of the beach and a few of stands near the parking lot, which serve lunch and snacks.

Playa Rincon is located on the Samana Peninsula and can be reached by a 30-minute boat ride or a 30-minute drive from the town of Las Galeras. Almost the entire way, the road is paved and in good shape, however near the beach, it is dirt and potholed but usable in a typical vehicle. If you need a boat, simply walk down to the waterfront in Las Galeras, where the main road into town dead-ends at the sea, and someone will be happy to assist you. The boats leave from just here on the beach.

Most hotels will gladly assist you in planning a trip to Playa Rincón. If you want to make a day of it, stop by the Boca del Diablo (Devil's Mouth) blow hole on the way back. A 15-minute detour along a difficult dirt road is required.

If relaxing on a gorgeous beach on a private island is your vacation aim, look no further than Cayo Levantado. The Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado is located on an isolated island off the coast of the Samaná Peninsula, surrounded by soft-sand beaches and shallow blue waters. The little and scenic island of Cayo Levantado, located just five kilometers from the Gulf of Samaná, is also known as Bacardi Island because a Bacardi trailer was filmed here in the 1970s. It boasts white sands and scorching beaches with rows of palm trees.

The three beaches on the island, which are connected by paths, are among the most beautiful in the Dominican Republic. The resort is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort. Samaná El Catey International Airport is the nearest international airport.

Small taxi boats leave the port of Samaná on the Avenida Marina every day to transport guests to this small island. In Cayo Levantado's public areas, spend the day swimming, sunbathing, kayaking or paddle boarding, and eating fresh seafood. You can also spend the night in a luxurious hotel on the island's other half. Please be aware that on days when large cruise ships dock off the island, visit limitations may apply.

Playa Dorada is Puerto Plata's main resort beach on the Amber Coast. This golden sand stretch stretches along the shore east of the city. Tourists flock to this resort because of the gorgeous mountain landscape, palm-lined beach, and clean, clear turquoise waters.

The resorts along this stretch aren't high-rises. Building restrictions limit them to three floors, and each resort is separated from the others by a reasonable distance. Playa Dorada has done a good job of retaining a natural vibe in a resort region with more than a dozen establishments.

The majority of the resorts along this stretch are mid-range or premium all-inclusives with one or more pools and on-site eateries. The enormous Iberostar Costa Dorada and the more charming VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort are two of the top resorts on Playa Dorada. Casa Colonial Beach & Spa is a sophisticated boutique hotel with only fifty luxurious accommodations and outstanding service.

While Playa Rincon, in Las Galeras, is generally mentioned as one of the best beaches in the Dominican Republic, the magnificent beach that runs down the Las Galeras waterfront is equally as beautiful. You may easily travel 15 minutes or less in either direction from the main beach to locate more wonderful beaches and your own private bit of shoreline to spread out your towel or hire a beach chair.

Huge coconut palms line the entire beachfront region of Las Galeras, and the shallow beaches radiate a range of turquoise, green, and blue colours that are unrivaled along the island's north coast. When you add in the picturesque little village of Las Galeras, you have one of the Dominican Republic's undiscovered gems. The undeveloped beach of La Playita is a short walk west of town, with calm, shallow waters ideal for swimming. You may rent chairs and palapas from a few coastal vendors.

A quiet turquoise beach and the Grand Paradise Samana, one of the only large-scale resorts in the area, are just a short walk east of Las Galeras around a palm-tree-covered point. If you're searching for something with a little more Caribbean flavor, the lovely, colonial-style Villa Serena Hotel, which overlooks the ocean, is located halfway between the main beach and La Playita.

One of Dubai's most popular beaches, Kite Beach is ideal for sunbathers, foodies, and sports fans alike. Kite Beach offers plenty of challenges if you're serious about your watersports and want to put your talents to the test on one of Dubai's top free beaches. Along the sand, just outside the Jumeirah neighborhood, you'll find high-quality equipment for hire.

Unless you prefer to stay on dry land, try kitesurfing, wakeboarding, or stand-up paddleboarding; you'll almost certainly find a game of beach volleyball to join, as well as a friendly vibe and plenty of new acquaintances. Kite Beach, if you're searching for a more laid-back mood, emanates adrenaline as well as peace and a laid-back seaside ambience. Kite Beach has a welcoming attitude, and newbies to the sport of kiting are always welcome. A variety of kiteboarding schools offer lessons.

Location: Cabarete, Dominican Republic

Cabarete Beach, which stretches the length of Cabarete's seafront, is known for its atmosphere rather than its blue waters. The beach is beautiful, and it's one of the few in the area that's usually peaceful enough for swimmers of all levels. Because the beachfront is shallow for a long distance, it is more suitable for children than other beaches in the region.

The vibe, though, is the main lure. Tables, chairs, patio lights, and lamps are set up under thatch-roofed buildings and immediately on the sand as casual but modestly trendy restaurants along the beach. In the early evening, you can dine under the stars at one of the modest beach restaurants or listen to a band or solo performer. On the beach, a game of volleyball is generally being played, or soccer balls are being tossed around.

Beginner windsurfers usually practice their talent a short way off shore, although the calmer areas of this crescent-shaped beach are often calm enough for stand up paddle boarding. Cabarete Beach, unlike beaches throughout the Caribbean coast, is devoid of powerboats.

Large-scale resorts do not dominate this beach, and all-inclusive resorts are limited in Cabarete; yet, premium beachfront hotels may be found along Cabarete Beach. The Velero Beach Resort, Millennium Resort & Spa, and Ultravioleta Boutique Residences are among the best.

Location: Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

A magnificent, long, curving beach with shallow, warm water is surrounded by sea grape trees in this small fishing village on the Amber Coast's west end. The beach is bordered on one side by lush mountains, and the other end is capped by a rocky promontory.

You'll almost certainly have the beach to yourself in Punta Rucia. Because there are few amenities available here, carry a picnic lunch or eat at a nearby restaurant. There are no chairs or umbrellas provided, so bring all of your beach gear. Paradise Island is a popular day-tripping destination within a 10-minute boat ride from the beach. This little sandbar is bordered by a massive coral reef and offers excellent snorkeling. On your trip back to town, if you're on a smaller boat, you'll be able to take a wild ride through the mangroves.

Kiteboarders looking for flatwater riding flock to this spot. The beach is wind-protected, yet strong gusts blow consistently offshore. Long tacks are the norm 20 minutes offshore in shallow lagoons with sand bottoms sheltered by reefs.

Playa Grande is an unspoiled beach with a distinct Dominican vibe, located far from the well-known resort attractions of Puerto Plata and Punta Cana. This coral-colored, soft-sand beach, backed by palm trees and a few rustic food stalls, looks out onto the Atlantic Ocean's pounding surf.

Huge waves frequently roll in, however there are quiet days, and the section closest to the parking lot is partially sheltered by a peninsula. This long, wide beach spans for over a kilometer, so even on crowded days, you'll be able to locate your own piece of sand, and on weekdays, you might even be alone. Playa Grande is located on the outskirts of Rio San Juan, but day trips to this beach from Cabarete or Puerto Plata are easy to arrange. If you have your own car or a driver, you can also visit Playa Caleton, a much smaller beach in a calm cove with little to no wave activity. Children will enjoy Playa Caleton since it is a fun and safe beach. A few vendors are set up along the beach, similar to Playa Grande.

The recently opened premium Amanera hotel is located at the further end of the beach from the parking area. The Balaji Palace at Playa Grande, located on a promontory between Playa Grande and Playa Caleton, is another luxury resort in the area. Both are high-end houses with breathtaking views, pools, and all the usual luxuries.

Location: northeast of Puerto Plata city, between Río San Juan and Cabrera

This five-mile stretch of diamond-white sand is known as the most beautiful beach in the Dominican Republic, with crystal clear turquoise waters and no hotels, stores, or restaurants. A beautiful rocky karst topography embraces this beach all along the shoreline, protected as part of the Jaragua National Park. You may get to Baha de Las Aguilas by all-terrain vehicle or boat from Cabo Rojo's coastline. Bring plenty of sunscreen for this spot of heaven that isn't shaded.

Bahia de Las Aguilas is one of the Dominican Republic's most unknown jewels, both beautiful and isolated. This spectacular eight-kilometer-long stretch of sand is part of Jaragua National Park, a UNESCO-designated natural reserve, and is located near the town of Pedernales on the Caribbean coast, not far from the border with Haiti.

This beach, with its calm, crystal-clear sea and white sand, is one of the most appealing in the Dominican Republic, but it is also one of the least visited. The beach in Bahia de Las Aguilas, as well as the surrounding area, is completely undeveloped. The majority of guests stay in Barahona and take a day trip to the beach.
