Beautiful Resorts
Barbados in the Caribbean is a beach lover's paradise, from the world-famous Bathsheba waves on the eastern coast to the wide, sparkling beaches on the southern coast lapped by gentle surf. Rihanna's birthplace makes for the ideal island escape with warm weather all year round and gorgeous beach resorts suitable for all kinds of visitors. The easternmost English-speaking Caribbean island is 34 kilometers long and 23 kilometers broad. It has a gently sloping topography with a variety of coastlines, sugarcane farms, and mountains covered in jungle.
After a hard day of surfing or exploring tropical forests, unwind in opulent villas with soaking tubs that gaze out onto white, sandy beaches bordered with palm trees. There are 11 parishes on the island. The capital of Barbados, Bridgetown, is located in St. Michael parish on the island's western coast and is a thriving center with historical sites, waterfront cafés, shops, and a vibrant nightlife perfect for soaking up the true Bajan atmosphere. While there aren't many places to stay in Bridgetown, there are several on the surrounding south and west coasts.
The majority of the island's resorts are located along its western shore, also referred to as the Platinum Coast. Accommodations can range from distinctive boutique hotels to sizable all-inclusive resorts with every luxury. One of Barbados' most developed regions is its south coast, which boasts a bustling boardwalk lined with eateries and plenty of entertainment. Resorts on this coast provide infinity pools, water activities, and other island attractions. Although the island hardly ever experiences storms, Barbados' high season lasts from December through April and its hurricane season is from June through October.
