Belarusian Great Patriotic War Museum

Belarusian Great Patriotic War Museum is a part of the museum and park complex "Victory" and was built adjacent to the stela "Minsk - the hero city," which is a significant location in the Belarusian capital. It was founded in the ruins and ashes of the newly liberated Minsk in October 1944. Across 8,000 exhibit materials are shown over 4,200 square meters in 10 exhibition halls. More than 150 thousand depository objects, including photographs, papers, and letters from Great Patriotic War participants, are included in the museum funds, which are divided into 30 collections.

Everyone with an interest in the history of the Great Patriotic War and World War II is cordially invited to visit the War Museum. It is the largest national collection of physical and immaterial symbols of warfare. The building's architecture is impressive due to its size and meaning. It combines historicity and contemporary technologies in a seamless way. The visitor is immersed in an atmosphere of bravery and accomplishment while also experiencing the greatest sadness thanks to unconventional spatial and architectural strategies and creative solutions.
