Bird Thai Restaurant

Bird Thai has been around in Amsterdam since 1998 and they are still known as one of the best Thai restaurants in town. This is the ideal place to visit following a day of sightseeing or before entering Amsterdam's nightlife. Everything is authentic, from the decor to the chefs and employees. Their menu features meals from Thailand's various culinary areas, including Chiang Mai, Bangkok, and Phuket.

The meal here is worth the brief wait even if you have to stand in line to get a table. Good to know: they also have a Thai snack bar across the street if you’re in for a quick bite. The menu is fairly extensive so unless you a particularly familiar with Thai food or come often, choosing can take some time. The beef entrée featured sizable pieces of delicious, slow-braised brisket, and overall, the food was fairly nice. The portion sizes are acceptable without becoming absurd.
