Boga Lake
Boga Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Bangladesh and is situated in Ruma Upazila in the highland district of Bandarban. It can very well be the tourist spot that people want to visit the most. Its appeal is due to several factors, including the challenging 1,246-foot rise required to reach there and the difficulty of negotiating Bandarban's thick, steep woodlands.
The history of the lake adds to the area's allure. It is thought that long ago, some residents of Khumi village accidentally killed a goddess and then prepared her meat for a banquet. In answer, the deity reappeared in the guise of a dragon, but as soon as she did, there was an earthquake, and the entire hamlet submerged beneath the surface and turned into a lake!
Whatever your opinion of the lake's genesis myth, there is no denying its breathtaking beauty. In the wildlife sanctuary known as Boga Lake, a wide variety of flora and animals, including some of the most endangered species, may be found. You engage in a wide variety of leisure activities. To gain a feel for their way of life, you may go on boat cruises, go camping, or even spend days with the native people.
