Kaptai Lake
Kaptai is the biggest lake in Bangladesh if we're talking about lakes. The Karnafuli River was dammed to build this artificial lake. The lake has a detrimental effect on the ecosystem. Although the lake was initially built to produce hydroelectric power, it also helps with irrigation, freshwater fish production, and flood management. The lake has, nevertheless, grown in significance for a few additional factors. It has facilitated easy access to many lake locations by establishing several, extensive canals. Many locations that once required a day or more to go to may now be reached in an hour by speedboat or launch.
The Kaptai Lake, a haven for outdoor activity supported by a pristine environment that is stunning throughout the year, is one of Bangladesh's top vacation spots. In the summer, tourists throng to its azure waters to kayak or hike via attractive paths for magnificent views of the basin. All the resorts go into high gear when winter arrives to handle the added demand. Be sure to check out the country’s largest lake if you wish to take a look at pure nature.
