Bottle Peak
Bottle Peak ranked second in the top of the highest mountains in Cameroon, standing at 12,917 feet. The peak is situated near the Gulf of Guniea in the Fako department, which is part of the country's Southwest province. Bottle Peak is located at latitude 4.2141 and longitude 9.1769, with GPS coordinates of 04° 12′ 50.76′′ N and 09° 10′ 36.83′′ E.
The close environs of Bottle Peak are steep, with predominantly evergreen deciduous woodland, while the landscape surrounding the summit is mostly mountainous. The city of Buea, which is roughly 6.08 miles away, is the nearest city to the peak.
This 9.3-kilometer out-and-back track near Winter Park is worth a try. It takes an average of 3 hours and 6 minutes to finish this moderately difficult route. This is an excellent hiking track. The months of May through October are ideal for hiking this trek. Dogs are permitted, but they must be kept on a leash.
