Brooklyn Friends School
Brooklyn Friends School, established in 1867 as a co-educational grade school by the Religious Society of Friends, has encouraged and facilitated learning and personal growth within the context of a challenging academic program and a caring community ever since.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program is offered at Brooklyn Friends School. Designed for the final two years of high school, the Diploma Program is held in very high regard by colleges and universities. Since introducing the program in 2007, IB courses now comprise the majority of their junior and senior classes.
The school takes pride in its active, supportive parent body, enthusiastic teachers, dedicated staff, and thoughtful and articulate students. Together, they form a community reflective of a unique combination of intellect, energy, and heart.
Parents can be confident that their child will receive a well-rounded education at Brooklyn Friends School. Their commitment to academic excellence is matched by their dedication to nurturing the social and emotional growth of each student. A safe and inclusive space is provided where students can flourish and discover their passions.
