International School of Brooklyn
Since its founding in 2005, the International School of Brooklyn (ISB) has been committed to delivering outstanding education. Recognized for its innovative Pre-K 3–8th Grade language immersion program in French and Spanish, along with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, ISB is an independent, non-profit school situated in Carroll Gardens.
ISB takes pride in its diverse and engaged community, comprising students, families, faculty, and staff from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. This inclusive setting promotes global awareness, enriching the overall learning experience.
The language immersion program at ISB is vital in broadening students' global perspectives. Through immersion in French and Spanish, students gain exposure to diverse experiences and cultures, enhancing their understanding of the world.
Being an IB world school connects ISB to a global network spanning 159 countries and over 5,400 schools. This connection provides students with unique opportunities to engage with a variety of ideas and perspectives, preparing them for success in an interconnected world.
ISB's International Baccalaureate curriculum further develops students' critical thinking skills by encouraging them to analyze complex ideas within a global context. This approach empowers students to become well-rounded and adaptable thinkers.
Dedicated teachers at ISB create a supportive and intimate classroom environment that nurtures each student's curiosity. Through guided inquiry, concept-based learning, and hands-on projects, students develop a deep understanding of themselves as learners.
