Buck's Naked Barbeque
Buck's Naked Barbeque is the next name on the list. Buck's smokes in an Ole Hickory Pit with locally sourced hardwoods including Oak, Apple, and Shag Bark Hickory three times a day to ensure your BBQ is fresh and flavorful. The smoke time varies depending on the meat, ranging from 3-4 hours for ribs or wings to 14 hours for brisket, which means they have some early risers arriving at 4 a.m. Their BBQ is dry-rubbed or 'Naked' with the sauce served separately.
Buck's Naked Barbeque illustrates that Maine is more than just lobster. To get you in the mood, start with a Bloody Mary with a huge beef or pork rib on top, then keep going. Ribs, chicken, brisket, pulled pork, and fried catfish dinners are served with your choice of sides. The noteworthy coleslaw, delicious cornbread, and surprisingly good Caesar salad are all recommended. On weekends, live music adds to the commotion, but it is all in good fun.
