Burgas

Burgas (or Bourgas) is Bulgaria's second-largest city along the Black Sea and fourth-largest city overall. Burgas has become one of the Best Spots to Dive in Bulgaria, as it is largely utilized as a transit point for non-diving tourists to smaller resort towns north and south of it along the coast.

Long expanses of mostly vacant beaches, attractive and well-kept beachfront parks, and extremely reasonable lodging alternatives for the budget-conscious traveler can all be found there. It's the ideal location for a long diving vacation.

Outside of the city, there are four lakes where bird enthusiasts congregate. They aren't strictly fit for diving, but they are ideal for a refreshing dip in the sea.
