Canandaigua Lake
You'll find it especially difficult to leave the stunning Canandaigua Lake if you visit during the height of October. The already stunning area is brightened by rich red, yellow, and orange hues, which are expertly highlighted by the lake's vivid blue water. It makes sense since its name means "The Chosen Spot."
This beautiful lake, which is 16 miles long and 1 mile wide, provides drinking water for approximately 70,000 people living in the adjacent city of Canandaigua. One of the best lakes in New York, Squaw Island is one of only two in the Finger Lakes region. It is also one of the best lakes in New York. For a closer look at this charming little place, consider renting a canoe, kayak, or water bike.
You can find grand homes and cottages along the lake's northern shore, many of which are comparable in size to those on Millionaire's Row in Lake George. Naples, a village bursting with natural beauty, is at the southernmost point.
