Capitol Technology University
Established in 1927 in Washington, D.C., Capitol Technology University started as a school by mail, teaching people how to work with radios and electronics. Later, in 1980, the university moved to Laurel, Maryland. Now, Capitol Tech offers a variety of programs, including 27 master's degrees that you can complete online and 21 bachelor's degrees, with five available online.
All master's degree programs at Capitol are online. The university also has special programs where you can get a doctorate (like a Ph.D.) in cybersecurity or business and decision sciences. These programs are mostly online, but you work closely with Capitol professors each year to turn your research ideas into a finished project. Other doctorate programs at Capitol are designed so you don't need to spend time on campus.
Capitol Tech also has a bunch of online classes for undergraduates. For example, if you're getting a business administration, cybersecurity, or management of cyber and information technology degree, you can decide to do your last two years online. And if you're studying construction safety, you can do the entire degree online.
Don't worry if you miss a live class – they record everything so you can watch it later. Applying to undergraduate programs at Capitol is free. The teachers come from essential government agencies and businesses. Classes are small, so you'll get to know your teachers and classmates well. They use interactive lessons, discussion boards, and group activities, so you'll always feel connected to your learning community.
