Cascada El Escuco
The breathtaking Parque Aquatico El Escuco national park, northwest of the country's capital San Salvador, is where the Cascada El Escuco waterfall is located. Even though it's quite a distance from San Salvador, it's definitely worth the trip if you're going that way or staying along El Salvador's northern Pacific coast.
The trip to the waterfall is quick after you enter the park, and the trail is lovely. It follows the small river/stream that descends from the waterfall itself and is covered in spectacular local vegetation and fauna. Take your time and use the proper footwear because the path may be damp and slick.
Half a kilometer off the road, the waterfall is the ideal location for photo opportunities and enjoyment of the verdant surroundings. When you climb to the bottom part of the 80-meter-tall El Escuco waterfall, you will experience a relaxing water spray, especially after a day of hiking or country exploration.
After a long day, you can take a plunge in the pool and relax in a cool setting. The pools range in depth from one to five meters, making it the ideal setting for a day of enjoyment. This is the place for you to go if you enjoy extreme sports and other high-adrenaline activities.
After viewing the waterfall, it's nice to go for a hike along the forest trails where you can see monkeys, lovely birds, and amazing butterflies.
