Cayfest
The Cayfest is one of the most famous festivals in the Cayman Islands, a two-week festival held on the Cayman Islands in April that showcases Grand Cayman through visual arts, live music, and courtyard performances of theatre, and film, fashion, and culture. The festival allows participants to enjoy locally produced films and concerts by musicians, as well as arts and crafts programs. The festival begins at Seven Mile Beach with a re-enactment of the traditional boat launch. In George Town, visitors will enjoy outdoor events featuring local brands, gourmet cuisine, arts and crafts, and other illustrations of local talent, including singing and culinary competitions.
This Cayfest's most popular festival features a re-enactment of the traditional boat launch at Seven Mile Beach that kicks off a showcase of the arts and culture of the Cayman Islands. The Gimistory International Storytelling Festival attracts performers from all over the Caribbean. Other Cayfest highlights include live folk singers, fashion shows, and historic treasure hunts.
