Celine Dion
Céline Marie Claudette Dion CC OQ (born March 30, 1968) is a singer from Canada. Her strong and technically adept voice has earned her acclaim. Dion is the best-selling Canadian music artist of all time, as well as the best-selling French-language singer. Pop, rock, R&B, gospel, and classical music have all been included in her work.
She was born into a big family in Charlemagne, Quebec, and rose to prominence as a teen star in her own country with a series of French-language albums in the 1980s. She originally attracted worldwide attention when she won both the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival and the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, representing Switzerland. She signed with Epic Records in the United States after learning English. Unison, Dion's debut English-language album, was released in 1990, establishing her as a viable pop artist in North America and other English-speaking countries of the world. Her subsequent albums have primarily been in English and French, though she has also sung in Spanish, Italian, German, Latin, Japanese, and Chinese.
