Taylor Swift
Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989) is a singer-songwriter from the United States. Her repertoire is diverse, and her narrative composition, which is frequently influenced by her personal experiences, has earned extensive media attention and critical acclaim. Swift, who was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, moved to Nashville, Tennessee, when she was 14 years old to pursue a career in country music. She acquired a songwriting contract with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2004 and a recording contract with Big Machine Records in 2005, and her debut studio album, eponymous, was released in 2006.
Swift experimented with country-pop on her albums Fearless (2008) and Speak Now (2010), and the success of singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me" at both country and pop radio cemented her position as a top crossover singer. On her fourth studio album, Red (2012), she experimented with pop, rock, and techno genres, which was accompanied by the songs "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble." Swift ditched her country image and switched totally to pop with her synth-pop fifth studio album 1989 (2014) and its chart-topping hits "Shake It Off," "Blank Space," and "Bad Blood."
