At an elevation of 1,308 feet above sea level, Cerro Nu Cany is one of the highest mountains in Paraguay. The mountain is found in Paraguay's Department of Caazap. The tallest mountain in the Itapua is Cerro Nu Cany. The mountain features a 45-kilometer-long flat peak that can be used as a light-plane landing strip. On this peak, there has never been a first ascent.
Nu Cany, on the other hand, is a popular trekking and mountaineering destination in Paraguay. There are only a handful of known flora on the mountain. The mountain, however, is dominated by shrubs and cactus species. Monkeys suited to mountain circumstances and a few cat species are among the wildlife species found at Nu Cany.
