Chakra

The chef, also owner at Chakra shares his story that his career in the hospitality industry began about 36 years ago, and cooking has always been a love of mine. He worked for ten years in India before moving to Estonia in 1991 to work as a cook at a restaurant in Raekoja plats. He worked there for almost 8 years before moving around Estonia and working at other locations.

Then, in 2006, he had the notion of creating my own restaurant, and he had some great ideas. He had seen a lot of places in Tallinn but couldn't seem to pick the ideal one. After searching a number of areas, he came upon Bremen Kaik 1 and realized immediately that it was the one. They opened our doors in June of 2009 after accumulating everything. It appears that they have just began yesterday.

Our group of three (two from U.S. and one from India) were looking for Indian options near the old town. The food is diverse and authentic, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, and it is conveniently located near the old town. We went two times. We went for dinner one evening at 73€ with plenty of leftovers and a second time for a tea/snack break at 14.40€. The staff were also friendly and helpful. This is also a great place to go for a romantic date. It feels like a small slice of India served up in Tallinn. Don't miss out."
