Chantara Waterfalls
Another beautiful waterfall in Cyprus is Chantara waterfalls. If you've been to Mesa Potamos or Chantara Waterfalls previously, you'll see a lot of similarities between them. The term "anatra," which means "water noise," is where the name of the Chantara waterfall comes from. The gavro, one of the area's primary boulders, is rolled over by the waterfall's water as it falls abruptly from a height of eight meters, creating a tiny pond at the base of the waterfall. There is abundant flora and clean (super-clean) air in the surrounding area. It is surrounded by trees, including plane trees, ivy, pine trees, golden oaks, sumac, strawberry trees, cistus, sage, and lavender, and is located in the heart of a rural area.
After visiting these waterfalls, your lungs will be grateful. especially after inhaling the seductive scent of sage and lavender. 8 meters is the height from which the water descends. The Trooditissa Monastery is about 3.5 km from the falls, and if you're coming from Kato Platres, a sign for the Chantara waterfall should be on your right at the end of the Fini hamlet. Follow the unpaved road at the end of Fini Village at Platres to get to Chantara Falls by automobile. The journey takes under ten minutes. To get there, though, you must hike the 1.8 km trail that departs from Trooditissa Monastery. It's a wonderful trail surrounded by beautiful scenery. Despite the fact that all the routes in Cyprus to the waterfalls are magnificent, it's still a lovely hike.
