Classroom Management for Teaching English to Kids (EFL, ESL)

They all want their courses to be full of happy students learning English. And they know that it needs a variety of talents, such as classroom management skills, to make that happen. These help to keep their courses structured so that students know what to do and how to achieve, allowing everyone to have a good time in class. They're more crucial in English as a Foreign/Second Language (EFL/ESL) classrooms, because students must study in a language they don't always comprehend.

This course was created to assist new and experienced English instructors in using positive, practical, and successful strategies to ensure that all of their students have the opportunity to enjoy studying in their lessons. You will learn, for example, how to plan your classes to balance your pupils' energy levels; how to create routines to help your sessions run smoothly; and even how to give directions so everyone is on the same page.

This is not, however, an entry-level Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification program. It does not include sections on how to teach vocabulary, grammar, or reading and writing abilities. They've also designed this course so that you may view it in whatever sequence you choose, so pick and select the bits that interest you the most.

Following the introduction, the first two sections discuss some fundamental classroom management theory and how to understand our children, including their histories, needs, growth, and obstacles between the ages of 6 and 11. Later parts discuss actual class challenges and tactics for creating rapport, employing routines, providing praise, playing games with movement, and giving students meaningful opportunity to make choices in your teaching. These strategies are applicable to courses of 5 to 45 students.

The last segment will walk you through how to properly respond when kids misbehave in the classroom. You'll also look at three examples of frequent classroom misconduct, such as yelling during a game, and use what you've learned to explain why kids behaved out and what alternatives would work best. By the conclusion of this course, you will have all of the skills you need to establish a terrific, well-run class for your students, ensuring that everyone succeeds!
