Cockleshell Beach

Cockleshell Bay Beach, which lies near to the point of St. Kitts' southeast peninsula, is a popular hangout for locals and visitors alike. With nearly two miles of fluffy white sand, glistening azure seas, and a spectacular view of neighboring Nevis, it's easy to see why this is one of the Caribbean's most well-known white-sand beaches. The mile-long curved bay is dotted with fine grained sand and a plethora of restaurants and cafes where visitors may sample native Kittitian cuisine. It can get pretty crowded on weekends and during peak season, so go early on a weekday to escape the cruise-ship tourists.
