Copenhagen
Charming Copenhagen is Northern Europe's most cozy capital. There are many of the best cafes, shops and restaurants here. All capitals have their classic attractions - things you absolutely must visit and see - and Copenhagen is no exception. Some of Copenhagen's most iconic sights and experiences are Nyhavn, Tivoli, Stroget, and Amalienborg. A few weekends are not long enough to explore all the wonders here. Then, for a snack, head to one of the city's great cake cafes. There are so many to choose from - Lagkagehuset, Meyers, Brod, Laura's and many more.
One of the most beautiful features is the waterfront, which seems to cover the whole city due to its many canals and large scenic harbor. Therefore, the most romantic thing to do here is to rent an electric boat or join a guided tour to enjoy the cruise on the waterways. On a sunny afternoon, take a romantic cruise on the Rhine Ferry, a traditional wooden train powered by a pulley system that has been in use for many years. Seeing the architecture of the old town from the water is impressive and offers a unique perspective on the city's development over time. Copenhagen has plenty of green spaces and picnic spots like the famous King's Garden. Perhaps the most beautiful place in the city is Tivoli Gardens. For a more formal romantic meal, head to one of Copenhagen's Nordic restaurants and sample the gourmet food scene.
