CPC Corporation
CPC Corporation is a state-owned petroleum, natural gas, and gasoline business in Taiwan and is the basis of the Taiwanese petrochemicals industry. The company discovers, develops, refines, transports, and sells gasoline, diesel oils, fuel oils, and other products. CPC Taiwan offers its services all throughout Taiwan. It has honored that goal for more than 70 years, beginning in 1946, by taking on responsibility for the development of national energy resources.
Its duties as a state-owned firm include both providing the domestic market with enough energy and returning a profit to the government. Oil and gas exploration and production, refining, petrochemicals, lubricants, solvents, and chemicals are some of the business sectors covered by CPC. It is also the only company in Taiwan that imports and supplies natural gas. The fact that CPC has been a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) since 2006 demonstrates its dedication to sustainability in business operations.
CPC has long valued research and development (R&D) as being critical to company innovation and operational sustainability. It displays the solid oxide fuel cell system (SOFC) and the use of natural gas as feedstock in relation to hydrogen energy and fuel cell technology. The company's goal is to engage with partners to build domestic type SOFC systems. The high electric conversion rate advantage will improve the group's energy efficiency. The long-term goal is to use green hydrogen to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
