Creative Children International School
Creative Children International School (CCIS) is a special educational institution located in Hawally, Kuwait. It was established in 2003 to provide excellent education and therapy services for children with special needs.
CCIS uses a unique educational system designed specifically for students with developmental delays, Autism, Down syndrome, and slow learners. The school's curriculum focuses on various aspects of development, including cognitive, social, emotional, speech and language, physical, and practical skills. A play-oriented approach is encouraged to promote the development of pre-academic skills, socialization, and daily living activities.
The admission procedure at CCIS follows the guidelines set by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Public Authority of Disabled Affairs (PADA). All students at CCIS have access to Speech and Language Therapy (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), Physiotherapy (PT), and Behavioral Therapy. These services are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, and collaboration between teachers and families is an essential part of the process.
CCIS also offers an after-school program that positively impacts students with special needs. The program aims to enhance their skills and potential in various areas, leading to higher academic achievement, improved school attendance, enhanced school competence, and positive behavior.
CCIS is part of Virtus Education, which operates schools in Kuwait using the Ontario curriculum from Canada. Virtus Education embarked on its educational journey in 2003 with the establishment of CCIS.
