Creativity, Inc.
Edwin Earl Catmull, an American computer scientist and current CEO of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios, wrote the book "Creativity, Inc.: Overcoming the Unseen Forces That Stand in the Way of True Inspiration." Amy Wallace, an American writer, was a co-author. In a nutshell, the book is about Pixar Animation Studios' inventiveness. It's about how incredible animated films like The Incredibles, Toy Story, Cars, Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, Wall-E, and others are created.
Catmull describes how a feature film is made and the creative process that goes into it. The book is chock-full of sound information on how to develop brilliance and creativity in the workplace. The story writers, animators, and other personnel were given carte blanche to experiment and make mistakes. Catmull had a natural instinct for bringing disparate people together. All of this contributed to the creation of those wonderful films.
Great ideas can emerge from anyplace, according to one of the most emphasised notions in the book. Catmull has provided numerous examples and anecdotes to back up this claim. This is not only a book on creativity, but also a book about leadership. And, yes, the book isn't only for people in the animation or filmmaking industries; it's for anyone who wants to be creative in their lives.
