Culturama
Culturama is the most famous festival at St Kitts and Nevis, to ensure no one forgets the old traditions indigenous to the islands. For the first 10 days in August, residents and visitors will see dancing, dressing up, folk singing, and Calypso music. This most famous festival is held on the weekend of July and features similar music, street dancing, parades, and competitions.
Culturama is a unique celebration of the most critical milestone in their history - the emancipation of enslaved people in the 1830s. It's a 12-day focus on all aspects of art and Nevisia culture. Street Jamming, J'ouvert, cultural shows, Calypso competitions, horse racing, and parades by troupes and bands are part of Culturama.
