Dalhousie
Dalhousie, which is 2400 meters above sea level, is one of the best locations in India for a honeymoon because of its snow-covered mountains, lush surroundings, clear rivers, lively retail districts, and picturesque meadows. As a summer retreat for British officers, Dalhousie was created. It bears Lord Dalhousie's name, the former governor-general.
Couples can go boating, hiking, and sightseeing while admiring Victorian and Scottish architecture. Some of Dalhousie's attractions include the stupendous views of Satdhara Falls, Panch Pulla, Dainkund mountain, and Khajjiar. Himachal Pradesh's Dalhousie is a captivating hill town with a beautiful view of the Dhauladhar Mountains, which are clad in snow. The idyllic location is bordered by dense woodlands and is perfect for couples who wish for some alone time together in the great outdoors. The Gothic-style churches, such as St. Andrews, St. John's, and St. Francis Church, which features magnificent glass work, are stunning.
The so-called "Mini Switzerland," Khajjiar, is about 20 kilometers distant. Huge deodar trees and a lake can be seen in the saucer meadow. A popular destination in Khajjiar is the Temple of Khajji Nag, which dates back to the 12th century AD. Nearby Kalatop experiences snow for virtually the entire year. The town has a well-known nine-hole golf course that was constructed against a picturesque setting. In Dalhousie, a lot of opulent resorts and hotels are located close to Khajjiar. In Khajjiar, a couple can also go horseback riding and paragliding.
The Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary is a major attraction located 12 kilometers from Dalhousie. The sanctuary is nestled beneath the Himalayas, surrounded by blue pine, oak, coniferous, and deodar trees.
