Mahabaleshwar
Mahabaleshwar is an enthralling hill town in Maharashtra's Western Ghats and one of the best places in India for a honeymoon. Mahabaleshwar's Venna Lake is surrounded by hills and trees and is dotted with colorful boats known as Shikaras. It offers stunning vistas and fascinating landscapes from 30 beautiful viewpoints spread across 150 square kilometers.
Connaught Peak and Hunter Point, Marjorie and Savitri Points, Babington Point, Lodwick Point, Arthur's Seat, Needle Hole Point (also known as Elephant Point), and 3 Monkey Point are a few of the well-known attractions in Mahabaleshwar. Additionally worthwhile stops include Lingmala Waterfall, Dhobi Waterfall, Bhilar Waterfalls, and Chinaman's Falls. The Panganga Temple, Krishnabai Temple, and Mahabaleshwar Temple are all rich in history and provide a glimpse of superb architecture. The Pratapgarh Fort, which is only 24 kilometers from Mahabaleshwar, is a significant historical site that commemorates the Maratha Empire's struggle for Swaraj under Chhatrapati Shivaji's leadership. A labyrinth of ponds, chambers, and walkways makes up Pratapgarh Fort.
The months of November to February are ideal for visiting Mahabaleshwar, as are the months of July to August, when the hill station is lush green. During these months, however, the area is prone to landslides. Enjoy the luscious flavors of Mahabaleshwar's strawberries, mulberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Pick up a few bottles of Mapro Garden's delicious jams, marmalades, and jellies.
