Delsey was founded in 1946 by Émile Delahaye and the Seynhaeve brothers, hence the name "Delsey." The company initially manufactured leather cases for cameras and photographic equipment. In the 1970s, Delsey shifted its focus to luggage production and became one of the leading luggage brands in France.

Delsey offers a wide range of luggage and travel accessories. Their product line includes suitcases, carry-on bags, duffel bags, backpacks, and various travel accessories such as toiletry kits, travel pillows, and garment bags. Delsey has a history of innovation in luggage design. In 1972, they introduced the first hard-shell suitcase made of ABS plastic, known as the "Airstyle." They were also pioneers in incorporating features like lightweight construction, durable materials, and secure locks into their products.

They have a global presence and is available in over 110 countries. They have a strong market presence in Europe, North America, and Asia. The company has subsidiaries and distribution networks in several countries to cater to a wide customer base.

Delsey has collaborated with renowned designers and brands to create special collections. They have worked with fashion designer Philippe Starck and iconic French fashion house Courrèges to bring unique and stylish luggage lines to the market.
