Since its inception in 1908, Demeyere, a family-owned company, has been at the forefront of stainless steel cookware. Zwilling J.A. Henckels purchased the Belgian brand Demeyere in March 2008, and Demeyere has been a member of the Zwilling Group since then. The brand employs a unique multi-ply design to improve efficiency on induction cooktops, popular in Europe and gaining appeal in the United States.

Demeyere cookware is distinguished by its exceptional thickness, with some pans reaching a thickness of 5 mm, resulting in improved heat retention. This characteristic propelled the business to the top of the professional cookware market. Demeyere cookware is suitable for all cooktops, although it performs especially well on induction. Its Atlantis line has a TriplInduct, 3-layer steel bottom that provides exceptional efficiency on induction cooktops and resists warping.

Demeyere utilizes a specific electrochemical treatment called Silvinox to keep the cookware looking fresh.
