Despacito - Remix

Despacito is a Latin song, but it's becoming spread and popular all over the world. Most recently, it surpassed the music of more seasoned artists to become the song that gets "streamed" the most online. Despite only needing six months to exceed other English songs thanks to this accomplishment. Despacito means "slowly" in Spanish, however, it is not slow at all.

The fact that Despacito is not in English which is the most widely spoken language, however, it has broken records in such a short period of time since its January 2017 release makes it exceptional. 92% of the 4,6 billion streams total originate from Spotify and YouTube, the two most widely used platforms. Over 2.6 billion streams originated from YouTube while the streams for the original and remix versions on Spotify were 1.1 billion. Perhaps the day when Despacito rose to number 1 is not far away.
