Disei Island
The Dahlak Archipelago is a collection of islands in the Red Sea near Massawa, Eritrea. It is made up of two main and 124 tiny islands. The archipelago's pearl fisheries have been famous since Roman times and continue to produce a significant amount of pearls.
Disei is one of the most beautiful islands in Eritrea's Semenawi Keyih Bahri region, with a picturesque environment and a wealth of attractions. Although it is one of several beautiful islands that make up the Dahlak Archipelago, it is the only hilly island.
If you enjoy mountain climbing or have a specific fondness for rocks, then seeing the Disei Island should be your top priority. The majority of the island's mountains are composed of gneiss and other crystalline rocks. The island also acts as a tranquil, romantic hideaway for honeymooners, thanks to its many clean, sandy beaches.
